In Into The Woods 1988, wlth music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, James Lapine's innovative book featuring fairy tale characters like Jack (of the Beanstalk), Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Cinderella, proved to be definitely not for chlidren but did enjoy a run of almost two years.
